1 Day Touring Plan
*For Family of 2 Adults one Teen:
If you want to see both parks, and I assume you want to catch the major thrill rides with older kids their day is by nature going to involve longer waits. There is not going to be any way to avoid that to be honest... but there is a way to minimize it. It all depends on how early the USO gets them there. If the USO gets them there after park opening it is likely best to go to the studios. Head straight and grab fastpasses for tower of terror, then ride crushes coaster (line will probably be 1hr+). After crushes coaster ride tower of terror if the fastpass is up. (if not catch the next showing of cinemagic and that should kill the time). Next grab fastpasses for rock-n-roller coaster and watch the next showing of Lights Motors Action.
After that you should head back to the magic kingdom.
1st grab fast-passes for space mountain. Ride Star Tours and Buzz light year to kill time. After riding space mountain with fastpass, avoid the urge to do fantasyland. It will be TOUGH! Grab a fastpass for thunder mountain and then kill time by riding pirates (very little wait) and haunted mansion if that is your thing. You can also explore the caves near captain hooks ship.
Once you ride thunder mountain you can grab fastpasses for peter pan, and kill time on the carousel, riding snow whites scary adventure/and or pinnochios adventure (both scary). There is also Alices maze (no waits) and under the castle is a lifesize VERY realistic dragon that you can spend a good half and hour exploring (EASILY!).
Once you ride peter pan it should be late afternoon, if not evening... if Casey Juniors Train and the Story Book boats are open you can ride them... but the lines are typically VERY long and the rides don't stay open late for whatever reason.
Eat lunch when you feel like it, but I highly recommend doing it just after grabbing a fastpass so that you are 'in line' while you eat. The same goes with Diner.
The key to your experience is going to be maximizing fastpass! You are going to have a strong urge to wing it... but the waits at Paris Disney especially on a weekend are going to be HUGE!
If by some string of luck you manage to get there before the park opens I would do the following:
Go to Magic Kingdom First. Ride space mountain immediately! Send your husband to grab fastpasses for thunder mountain and then go to the studios and do everything the same. The only difference would be that you could not grab a fastpass immediately for tower of terror. But after waiting for crushes coaster you should be good to go.
Dont forget that there is a new nightime show at the castle and you will want to be in place early to see it! The show starts at 10pm so I would start getting ready at 9:15 or so. No joke!!! There is also a night time parade at 1900 that is not to be missed!
The park has pretty late hours so you should be able to see a lot... but it will be very crowded. If you were only doing one park I could help you save a lot more time... but there is a lot to see and lines for the headliners build up fast. Here is a link to the show schedules:
